Chelsea defender Ashley Cole will undergo a scan on Sunday after suffering a calf injury during his side's 5-0 win over Sunderland.

Blues boss Luiz Felipe Scolari expects the 27-year-old England left-back to be out of action for up to two weeks.

The injury is likely to rule Cole out of Chelsea's trip to Roma in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Scolari told his club's website: "Ashley feels something but I don't know what the diagnosis is."

Wayne Bridge replaced Cole after 36 minutes of Chelsea's victory over the Black Cats on Saturday and is likely to deputise should he be sidelined.

"I feel Ashley will not go to Roma," Scolari added. "It looks like it is his calf but when he has had the scan we will know for sure."

Striker Didier Drogba will be available to face Roma after coming off the bench against Sunderland - his first appearance for a month after knee and ankle injuries.
