Where have I put "words into people's mouths" . You do know the meaning of that phrase don't you ? If someone has said something because they mistakenly agreed with me ( ie i put words into their mouths) then explain it rather than just spout (even more) abuse! Or do you mean "misquoted" ?

It'a fluctuating between being extremely amusing and extremely sad. You get a few people who don't agree and come up with an opinion as to why which is fine. Then you get the more 'challenged' individuals that don't have any capacity for self opinion ( or control,for that matter) who just resort to bile.

Ok, but as someone who understands the law and right from wrong surely you cannot pretend , for one moment, that JT has not been found to have used racist abuse. As it said, I don't think he's a racist as such but what he did does not sit comfortably with me. He is not a legend in my eyes or my conscience. Football is a funny old thing. Support a team and some people believe you have to do so with prejudice. Supports anything else, like a political party, then you openly question allegiances whenever you believe they become questionable,

Oh dear. Another one. Here's something for you to think about. In a court of law, you have to prove something is fact ie is beyond ALL reasonable doubt. The problem with the prosecution in Terry's case was that there was no recorded evidence against him and the lip reading was such that it could not be established , beyond all reasonable doubt, that he said what he did in a 'racist' tone. The evidence was hearsay. In a tribunal, it only has to be proven that there is probability he might have been racist in his tone. And that is they key point. The FA found him guilty because they believe he probably did say what he did in a racist tone. A court of law cannot convict on probability alone. The evidence is all there for you to read. Try doing it with a mindset that JT plays for the worst team you can think of and THEN form your opinion. Then come back here and argue whatever point you think you are trying to make. Now, I don't for one minute believe Terry is a genuine racist. I think he crossed a line where , what he thought was winding someone up, became racist abuse. But the simple fact is he has a record on being found guilty of it. And that sits uncomfortably with me. You can look at it with as rose tinted glasses as you wish..

Sorry , I got to the bit when you said JT was second only to god then all the words blurred into one and I stopped reading. If your idea of a mantel has JT on it, when there are thousands of people in the armed forces who people like JT are not fit to polish the boots of, then I feel sorry for you and your so very narrow minded view of the world.

How am I forcing opinions down people's throats ? This is a forum, it's there for debate. I am pretty sure, with one or two possible exceptions, that most people here are old enough to make their own opinions on things. Though, having seen the blind loyalty to John Terry, despite history not becoming of the adulation I see, I'm starting to question it.

Well, you still need help seperating corporate and hospitality don't you ? I've explained this before, it is not all corporates and I am a private subscriber as are a majority of fans using that method to view the games.
