Everton fan in peace. Noticed a lot of Chelsea fans have been criticising Lukaku for showing too much ego and not being prepared to fight for his place. tbh I sort of agree with the 1st bit - he does seem to think he's better than he is at the moment. (Maybe it's a Belgian thing cos Mirallas seems a bit like that too.) But the 2nd bit seems a bit harsh. He's had 2 good loan spells with West Brom then us and thinks he deserves to be a regular starter. And it seems he's a player who right now would rather play most games for a Europa side than just warm the bench for a CL side, and reached the stage where he thinks there's no point fighting for a place that doesn't look like it's going to become available any time soon. I get the criticisms if you think he hasn't had enough of a chance at Chelsea, but surely it's better that players have that attitude than just be bench warmers happy to pick up the big wages every week?
