That statement was obviously carefully worded and more than likely written by his agent, mindful of the bad press he has received and ill feeling towards him by City fans. A bit of PR work, nothing more. You might think it's bitterness from a City fan but you'd be wrong. The days of our club being held to ransom by greedy players has long gone. Michael Johnson was hopefully the last. Daniel Sturridge's attitude was so bad, that by all accounts our academy was glad to see the back of him. Good luck with Sturridge, but don't expect to see him play unless he is 100% fit. If he cracks a nail he will be running off to the physio room faster than he can ever run while he's playing.

Oh there's worse mate, on Citymancs they've had an Everton fan posing as David Villas agent. I'm not saying it's right but it's necessary if you want to succeed at the highest level. Every club does it, it's just that the biggest clubs are better at it than the others. The rags have been doing it for years. Bacon Face/Slur Alex went round to Giggs house when he played for our youth team and tapped him up.

I can honestly say I'm delighted that we are acting like this. In the past, we have been the ones bent over the table while the bigger clubs played 'hide the sausage' at our expense. Non of the big clubs behave fairly, and Chelsea more than most, have a recent history in transfer dealings that is nothing to be proud of. I'm just glad it's City for once who are taking the liberties and not the other way round.

I think it's blatantly obvious that JT has held talks with us. City would not be so stupid as to make a bid without getting the green light from JT first. So he's either using us to get more money from you, or he genuinely wants to come to City. Personally I'm inclined to believe the former.
