Born over fifty years ago on The Isle Of Wight, taken by my dad to my first game in '71 at The Old Dell, Southampton. (Now a block of flats apparently). Was "Chelsea Mad" as a kid, it's actually embarrassing some of the things I used to do! Went to the Bridge in '76 (Man City).
Started going to the Bridge by myself in '81 stood in the old Shed until '89 (Not continuously!!, I did go home occasionally!)). Kelvin Barker's book Celery! could almost be my diary!
Moved to The US in '91 (Bloody women!), been here ever since. Very hard to follow Chelsea back in the '90's with no coverage/interwebs, started again in the Ranieri years, right before cash started to rain down on Stamford Bridge! With my history, (remember "Save The Bridge"?) I thought either someone was taking the piss or I'd actually died and entered a parallel universe!
Part of me still can't believe it's going to last, it's Chelsea, FFS!! Something's bound to go wrong!
