  1. Hi blueboy. Re mancienne (am I sensing he's a moot point on here?!) He was imperious when he first came, a bit lescott like. Then teams would stick a big lump up front and he really struggled. It's his stature that let's him down. Then he played defensive midfielder and he looked like his old self. He'll never make a centre half imo. He may well turn out to be a class midfielder. If I told you I would like him at our place next season but won't be too gutted if he isn't, you get the picture I think
  2. Thanks for the comments guys! They mean a lot. The Premiership has been such an experience for a fan who really isn't used to it. As a Wolves fan, you start off wondering where the points are coming from week after week; then you end up demanding more than you're perhaps entitled to. All the time you look on with mingled infatuation and fright at some thoroughly unattainable players. So me (and the old man) enjoyed seeing the big name players at the Molineux. Most of them disappointed, and you leave the ground thinking they're overhyped. (Carrick and Barry to name but two) Then there was Drogba. Words failed us. He was the only player (Bellamy was actually very impressive too in fairness) who was was a million times better than everyone tells you. The fact he never once shirked a challenge, got behind the ball, never winced, moaned, or grumbled once, made me think that he's really misunderstood. I'm backing him to sign for us. Maybe when he's 39! PS: Also thought Obi Mikel was your best midfielder against us. Another specimen.
  3. Good morning all. I'm a Wolves fan in peace and wondered if you could spare the time to see my blog on Didier Drogba in the Telegraph today? I saw him destroy us at the Molineux (as most of you might have seen too), but what impressed me more was his honesty and downright refusal to hit the deck, despite our intentions to nobble him. No diving, no histrionics, just class. So I might be in a minority (apart from amongst yuo boys) but I wanted you to read my ode to Didier. Well done on winning the title again. Fully deserved. http://my.telegraph.co.uk/football/worldcupivorycoast/254/why-i-pray-for-didier-drogba/#disqus_thread
