Peter Houseman was a great and loyal player for Chelsea. His best season was 69/70 when he never missed a match and scored 6 times en route to FA cup glory - only Ossie scored more. The only of these games not to have TV coverage was the 4th round replay at Burnley, and he was unlucky because this was arguably his best ever game for the club. I wasn't there myself but he scored what would have been a contender for goal of the season, set up one for Tommy Baldwin and then added another himself for good measure. He kept us in the cup that night at Burnley and continued this run of form throughout the competition. I have to disagree with the poster who wrote: "Although the fans grew to appreciate Peter, rumours had it that the players did not." The other players loved him, and he was very much a part of that golden era. Watch the youtube full highlights coverage of the semi final v Watford and listen to what Alan Hudson had to say after the game. Also Ossie in his 3 part video with Brian Moore. He actually guested on the Big Match in the game at Arsenal the previous season (where he scored the winner) and it's a pity no one has put this video up - would love to see it. Instead of one of his goals, I'm going to post one of the goals he made for Ian Hutchinson instead. Great player and you should be very proud of his achievements!
