my first game was in 1979 against cambridge united at home in the old division 2 it was a 1-1 draw i cant remember who scored but i do remember going up those steps and seeing that green pitch was hooked from that moment........ ::ChELSeAFaN::

My first game was Everton at home in '93. I would've been about 4 at the time, so I don't really remember much of the game except that we won and that I've been back to the Bridge whenever I can ever since.

When I was 10 years old my dad took me to Wembley Stadium to watch the 1970 F.A. Cup Final between Chelsea and Leeds.

It ended in a 2-2 draw. We watched the replay from Old Trafford on telly.

It went into extra time. We scored from a throw in resulting in a 2-1 win for us.

I became a big fan of Peter Osgood, Peter Bonetti and David Webb.

Still laying claim to be the youngest of our beloved administrator's senior family members to go to Stamford Bridge at the age of 5 in 1949. Loz's grandfather took me at the age of 5. Obviously memories are non - existent. However I do remember being behind the goal ,on the grass with loads of other kids, when Peter Sillett scored the penalty past Bert Williams for a 1-0 win at Easter 1955. A double over Wolves, Billy Wright and all, and the title nearly won. Final home game of the season too, a 3-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday- Eric "rabbit" Parsons scored two, even one with a header. Not bad for a 5ft 4ins midget.

Those really were the days. A few survive-Bentley, Blunstone.

Travelled up from Bristol to watch the home game against Manchester United on 3rd March 1969. 3-2 to Chlesea, in front of over 63,000 spectators, with David Webb scoring after 90 seconds. Sat in the old North Stand with my mate, and caught the train back to Bristol to get home in time to watch it on Match of the Day. Hooked by the whole experience, I was back up a month later to see the final league game of the season - a 2-1 win against QPR.

My first game at the Bridge was v Charlton in '77 or '78 in the old Division 2. We won - 3-0 if memory serves me correctly, and Ian Britton scored two penalties I think ! My mate and I stood in the Shed - fantastic stuff. And the bonus was that the TV cameras were there so we were able to watch all the goals again the following day on The Big Match with Brian Moore. :D

1977-78 season. Ipswich at home and a 5-3 win. I think we were losing 1-0 and 2-1 before finally turning things around. I remember Tommy Langley scoring a couple in a great game. Ipswich were a good team at the time so it was a very respectable win. My main memory on the day though was the noise of the crowd. I had seen quite a few games on TV but it was electrifying at Stamford Bridge by comparison. Even with the open stadium that we had in those days. I was hooked straight away and went back a number of times that season before getting a season ticket the following year (78-79 when we were relegated with an awful 20 points).

my last game was in 2003 against the scousers where we gained a champions league place, i remember that the Liverpool fans and Chelsea fans were applauding each other at the end of the game, hard to see that happening now.

My very first Chelsea game was at Villa Park in 1959.

All my dad’s family were massive Villa fans (I had a great uncle, Billy Garraty, on my grandmother’s side of the family who had won a League and FA Cup winners medal with Villa at the beginning of the century).

I can remember standing in the Holte End with my dad and uncle Harry when it was all just a massive big open terrace, no roof. I seem to remember it was a pretty cold day (think it was January), when Chelsea out ran onto the pitch. I realize this sounds stupid in this day and age, but I thought the Royal Blue shirts and white shorts looked great - compared to Villa’s horrible claret and light blue.

Even though Chelsea lost the match, I can remember telling my dad on the way home that Chelsea were now MY team (he thought it was just a fad, but as the years passed by he realised that I was serious, something I don’t think he forgave me for to his grave!) I didn’t even know Chelsea was in London, but found out everything about them over the next couple of weeks.

Charles Buchan's Football Monthly was the football fans’ bible in the late fifties, early sixties - I’d cut out any photographs or articles on Chelsea, which at the time, were few and far between - mostly John Connelly, Albert Quixall and Ron Flowers. But, it didn’t matter, Chelsea were to be the only team for me over the next fifty years!

Looking back I think supporting Chelsea was definitely a lesson in character building! Having to defend yourself in the school yard against Man United kids certainly taught you how to look after yourself! ::ChElSeaFLag::

Reggie, did you go to the other two semi-finals at villa park?
No mate, only the Leeds United match.

I've no real recollection of the game against Liverpool, but I'm sure that against Sheffield Wednesday Chelsea wore an 'Internazionale' type strip (blue and black stripe shirt, black shorts black socks with blue turn-over tops). I think it was only ever worn during that match. Perhaps if the match had been won it may have been adopted long-term!!!

Now that's something else I never knew!

Don't suppose anyone's got any pictures of the team wearing that strip?

they only wore it once and for what reason i have no idea as at the time our away kit was yellow blue yellow, maybe we should ask the Doc

all i can remember about it now is it was at home against Bolton and Jay-Jay Okocha was playing in the middle of the park and on fire at the time - i cant remember a single thing about the rest of the game (my memory doesnt work very well)

Am I the only one on here who has never played for Chelsea or am I missing something?

Not managed to track down any photographs, but if you look at this YouTube clip around 4.10 - 4.15 seconds you can see Ron Harris in conversation with Tommy Docherty, whilst wearing the 'Inter' Strip.
