Bringing my 10 year old to his first home match tomorrow and would appreciate advice on best places to park ? We are travelling in from South West, any ideas would be very helpful, it seems to be a bit of a nightmare.

Unfortunately parking is a nightmare around the Bridge, mainly because most street parking spaces require a Resident Permit. I normally park (if google maps serves me right) on Seagrave Road (its off Lillie Road - if you are driving west its first left after the west brompton tube station), the best way to find it - its right opposite Earl's Court 2 building (cant miss it if you are driving on Lillie road).

As you turn into Seagrave Road, drive all the way till the end and there is a high school which allows you to park there for the game for £10 flat fee. Its right behind the ground but there is no direct way through so you have to go around (a good 15min walk) - just ask the parking attendants for directions - and also follow the crowd ;)

Another problem is - the car park closes 40 minutes after the end of the game, so leaves you little time for any after game activities.

Hopefully, other guys may give you better tips...

We get a coach down now, but when we used to drive we parked in Fulham Broadway underground carpark, you can't park much closer to the ground than that, always used to be spaces (just get there before they shut the road) and about £15 IIRC.

But that was a few seasons ago and it might've changed.
