Posted November 2, 201014 yr it was pretty pathetic effort from blueboys last night................I went to the game and quite lot chelsea fans there - especially youngSters. McCarthy there and was grinning ear to ear from the first minute..............when they scored their 1st goal after some pretty clueless defending. Wolves setup 451, packed midfield with tacklers and stopped us playing - got plenty feet in and were much stronger all over the pitch Yes, we had young team, but so did they - and we had 3 players who have played in the 1st team - of these Pat VH looks real class act and easily our best player. Bruma looked ok but he doesnt say much so doesn't dominate the back four kakuta was awful - didn't look interested or capable of having any impact - big doubt his commitment we played fluid 433 but the midfield were out battled, even tho we looked classier - again not enough commitment or chasing back couldve easily been 6-0 back to the drawing board - come back borini, we need you
November 2, 201014 yr I didn't go to the game. I watched it on Chelsea TV. It was obvious they missed Borini, Gokhan Tore and Conner Clifford. Also McEachran would have been a regular until recently. The keeper who did very well, was making his debut at that level. And don't forget we had that kid who'se name I can't spell filling in, you know the 15 year old. They were 1-0 down after 26 seconds, and from there it went on from bad to worse. The second half was an improvement, but nowhere near enough to prevent it from being an all round bad night. Wolves reserves looked like a team. Chelsea reserves looked like a group of players who'd been thrown together, which is pretty much what they were. My impression of Kakuta wasn't so much that he was invisible. He's a long way from his best, that much is obvious. If anything he was trying too hard, trying to impress rather than do the simple thing. Maybe over-compensating because he knows he's off-form. The plan, so Clive Walker said, was to take Kakuta and Bruma off after 60 minutes come what may. This is what happens at reserve level. Playing time and regaining match fitness are very often more important than results. Like the other week when Bosingwa was taken off after 70 minutes even though all three substitutions had already been made.
