blutos
Hey lads! I write a Rangers tactic blog and i'm looking for some early judgments of AVB's formation so I can get a head start on what to look out for for next week's report. Obviously it's a friendly, but I imagine we'll be taking it seriously for a half at least. Is he sticking with the Porto 4-3-3 and inverted wingers? Can't wait to get you guys up here. It's been too long! Should be an annual thing.

He talks a lot about the NO6 role as well. Think it is more to do with not having an out and out winger in our squad than his Porto way, see what the transfer market brings ... I also don't think he's finished playing around with his options; he has already implied a formation with two strikers against Villa this weekend "We need these different kind of structures for the Premier League and it is not impossible that on Saturday we try another formation with two strikers maybe, but is not because you put another striker in attack that you become more attacking. It comes down to the dynamic of the team. The players' talent allows us to do this and it is also good for them to be challenged to play different ways." I know it doesn't make life easy for you to predict, but it certainly wouldn't surprise me to try out a completely different formation in the Rangers game. Having said that, it's our last match before the season starts so he might have settled on a Plan A (probably 4-3-3) and be working on sorting that out before the beginning of the season.
