he's had a look at the players we have now who can play a 433.................and in some positions we don't have them do we. If he stays with his preferred 433 then I think;

Kalou only fits into a 442.....................so he'll be on his way

nico can play the central role well as backup to torres, and maybe in 442 but not wide in a 433

drogs - not sure anymore, early days but if he comes on as an impact player, then he has to make an impact - so maybe

sturridge - yes definitely

malouda - better in 442 but can do decent job - so yes as backup

mata - yes

at porto, he had 2 fast and strong wide players in 433 and thats what we need too

In midfield, need a holding player - thats JOM (or oriel), and two tireless flank players who can get up and down, progress with the ball going forwards, and defend/cover when we don't have it - ramires is perfect, malouda maybe, benahoun maybe..............but not lamps anymore............unless he can move the ball quicker and not sideways - right now, he slows the play down when he gets it (like ballack in last season here)

against wba, he matched their 442 after 30mins as 433 wasn't working - so thats a great sign

so some changes to come before end aug, maybe some 'sacred cows' (sorry but you know what I mean) may be gone come 1st Sep
