For me it trumps winning the league in 2005.

As a toddler I started supporting Chelsea when we had finished 14th the previous season and won nothing for nigh on 2 decades. I remember times when just getting in the top half was something to look back on.

Don't get me wrong 2005 was brilliant, but we knew it was coming months before we mathematically won it, we pissed all over the league that year.

I'm not ashamed to admit I gave up many times during this CL campaign only to be proved wrong time and time again. Perhaps I bought into the media hype about how terrible we were etc but this is something nobody can take away from us.

Lost for Words. Each to a man they were all excellent.

I don't care what anyone says about our style of play or missed chances from day one we were written off, nobody gave us a prayer against Barca or Bayern, or heck even Napoli and Benfica so this goes down as the best CL triumph ever.

It was such a dramatic, storybook run this year too, which makes it all the more meaningful IMO. The journey is as important as the destination and an infinite number of monkeys with an infinite number of typewriters couldn't have written it any better.
