Anyway, people seems to forget that in 1990s to 2000s, MU has spent an obscene amount of money like:

Dwight Yorke from Aston Villa to Manchester United in 1998 for 19.5 millions Euro

Andy Cole from Newcastle to Manchester United fin 1995 or 7 millions pounds.

While the rest of the premiership barely able to pay 1-2 millions transfer fee at that time.
