I've started my very own football club, name of Spring Grove Monday FC, which consists of blokes in their 30s and 40s who have frankly seen better days but still like a bit of a run around.

Based in Kingston Surrey, we're after friendlies against any like-minded teams who aren't too far away and who fit moreorless the same profile (NB pls no teams who just want a scrap, we're not into that much).

So if any of you guys in the London / SE area fancy a game at all, leave me a PM and we'll get one sorted.

This is a shot in the dark mate , not sure if your interested but i'll try anyway.

About 3 years ago we ran a 6 a side summer tournament over 3 days with local teams and guest sides from the UK . It was a huge success and we ended up with 5 UK based teams . Tournament ran over 2 days , Sat and Sun , starting at 11 in morning until 7 in evening both days .

The overall winners got trophies and 2 nights out on the piss , free accomodation , as much drink as possible , lots of clubbing and , if your into it , girls galore .

We provide accomodation for all guests , no hotels by the way , just a friendly welcome and a sleeping bag in somebodys spare bedroom .

We recently talked about doing it again because the last tournament was a huge success . Its restricted to over 35's .

Just a thought Mike , if all else fails , at least you can have a piss up at our expense and you would all be made very welcome.

Anyway , if anybody else is interested in a ''cross the water'' tournament with accomodation thrown in , i'd be more than happy to help organise it this summer with the gurantee of a great weekend and plenty of partying .
