Good to see they have avoided Christmas and plumped for early Feb.

The casualty is the FA Cup being played midweek with no replays.

Might as well just make all FA Cup games no replays then, unfair to have it just for one round. 

That is a fair point yet expect smaller clubs to complain as they will their portion of gate receipts at the big club replays.

Also it won’t effect the lower leagues because they have too many games to play so they can’t do it. So not only would they lose out on that it would be at the expense of the ‘big rich clubs’ with less games in a season. 

Better for the big clubs though just a few more might go out. 

Another consideration if midweek and extra-time and penalties are played will people be able to get home via public transport.

I wonder if this has really been thought through.........

It’s never been a problem for the replays, league cup and champions league matches. Harder on away fans but hasn’t stopped people travelling or matches selling out.
