February 16, 20233 yr I’m an old school 2nd generation Chelsea fan and frustrated that we never really tried to put together the talented lads from the last generation of kids. Would love to see this team play. They may take a while to really find their feet but this is the perfect season. Kante is in the team purely because we will never get better DCM but consider that pick Fernandez going forward. I also wonder if Chuckwuemeka could play this role? Really can’t see the point in playing 39 years old Silva every game at CB and game time will rid Chabba of the occasional lapse in concentration. I watched Khoulibally a lot in Serie A and he was best CB in the world at that time as far as I’m concerned so I’m sure he will come good again. Chilli and Mount have a great relationship as do James and Loftus and I’d love to see that dynamic with Gallagher pushing on. Havertz is never a solo number nine but could be great in tandem with a pacey forward (he’s missed this since we sold Werner). 442 may not be fashionable right now but it will be again in 15 years - just like total football was in the 70’s before disappearing and re-appearing as Tikka-takka with Barcelona and the current obsession every club is in. Anyway, let me know what you think?! Edited February 16, 20233 yr by Joonbug Grammar
