  1. This is what I believe too, there are a number of things that can help the atmosphere but adding a greater visual aspect to the bridge could certainly get people going. Plus, when there will be larger displays (which is what I'm hoping to achieve in The Shed, it will involve everyone doing something at once, and that should get everyone on the same page and in voice from the start... hopefully ;) )
  2. Lol. Guys, just for those of you who don't know, we have 16+ people on board now which is great! I have just recently sent around an e-mail regarding next steps so if anyone here is interested in getting involved or just knowing what is going on then do let me know and I would be happy to send it across to you (I know some of you here have already received it) Thanks again for all your encouragement, really excite about getting the ball rolling on this!
  3. Thanks guys. It went well. The show will be up by Wednesday and from the live broadcast alone we have two more Shed End ST holders on board.
  4. Hey Guys, I will be going live on the Chelsea Fancast at around 8:30 tonight via phone in if you would like to listen. I will be outlining the idea and the short term plan for the project and hoping the exposure will get some more Shed Enders on board. You will be able to listen live here by scrolling to the bottom and playing the live audio. Cheers and KTBFFH, Richard.
  5. There will always be a few cynics, If I had come on here saying that I wanted to improve the atmosphere by singing more I'm certain he would have had a go then too. My plan has a few stages and the first of which is gathering a small group of Shed Enders will are willing to commit their time to this. I am looking to gather around 10 or so just to begin with and I plan on talking to all those around me at the next home game before we move further with this. At present I have been e-mailed by 6 people who are in. Once I feel I have a large enough group I will arrange a pre-game meeting place before a specific home game where we will all meet. That is why I am looking for regular attendees. Here we will have an open exchange of ideas which will all be documented and discussed but ideally be working towards the pre planning for our first attempt and making sure everybody knows what they are doing regarding it. I already have a few ideas my self and so do some of the others as they have e-mailed me. What I plan is to do something easy, cheap abut effective the first time round so that we can follow it through with as few problems as possible. It will be a baby step but an important one. We will also plan the next meeting. I plan to keep all those on board in contact with each other at all times so that it is a constant thought of those involved. I hope to gain recognition from the club its self to further aid the process and help with the things we wish to achieve. Both visual displays and the vocal atmosphere are what is important and as a group I believe we can get something going which us fans and the players will be proud of. I am no fool, it will not be easy, but hopefully the slug will be worthwhile.
  6. (Correction) Sure things didn't simple end there*
  7. Hi Jerry, I suppose "not following up" was the wrong choice of words as I'm sure things simply ended there. What I meant was that it didn't materialise in the long term. I understand that colour will not necessarily help create a noise during the game but what I hope to achieve is a solid group that plan these sorts of events on a consistent basis. Visual aids that could be used during the game as well to help increase the noise could happen, but of course I don't expect anything large due to the restrictions I'm sure the club will enforce. But some good displays that as cfc fans we can be proud of will improve atmosphere I'm sure. As far as improving the vocal support, I personally have a number of cheap and effective ideas that wouldn't need to be run past the club and I also have some that would... and of course the meetings would be an exchange of ideas. Thank you very much for you comments and I would love to have the contact info for these guys as I'm sure, like your self, they can provide a valuable insight. Even one contact for now would be great, just so I can ask a few questions. And believe me, I know it will not be easy... but for me it means a great deal and I hope to make an impact be it now or in the future. Best, Richard.
  8. Check out this link in the forum http://www.theshedend.com/topic/24786-stamford-bridge-atmosphere-a-plan/ (as mentioned above by a few) would love to have you on board to meet with us, discuss and then eventually implement visual displays at the Bridge. We are really looking to get a solid group of Shed Enders together. Have a look at the thread. The twitter account is @Shed_Atmosphere
  9. Thanks Speeding, that is all very helpful. I did try and look for an editing tool but I'm not sure I can do it. Maybe an admin could help me on the matter? I did try and get a good description for the account but I ran out of space. I was thinking about placing the link there and I think I may well do to be honest. I set it up today and followed a lot of people. I will follow the ones you have mentioned here that I have already not and will target them and others tomorrow. Thanks a lot for your help, if you have any ideas at all please don't hold back. I have got a handful of people who are willing as of now. I will look to spread the message via twitter by targeting the people I have followed and hopefully net week it will be mentioned on the Chelsea Fancast. I am on semi-speaking terms with Pat Nevin on e-mail so I am hoping I will be able to get a RT from him as well and fingers crossed by the end of next week we will have a solid group of people to plan a meeting and get cracking.
  10. I know, I can't understand why either. Anyway - I have set up a twitter account in the hope I can spread the word a bit better, so add me up if you have twitter @Shed_Atmosphere
  11. Speeding, I was literally in the process of doing this before I checked on here. I will post it once it is created. Cheers.
  12. Thanks McLovin, Yeah it seemed as though they were blowing them up one by one and throwing them about lol. You will get the best view in the house!
  13. By banners I mean massive held up ones at the start of games rather than ones that hang over the side. I do love how many banners we already have :)
  14. I remember those, they never did follow up with anything. However, I am certainly not only looking at one game. I want this to be a long term thing. Of course it would be silly to suggest we could do it every game, but once we have got the materials for a number of different displays it would become a lot easier to plan and follow through with. I will keep going, don't worry :)
  15. I am indeed next to the away fans. And a know balloons sound stupid, and it was a mere suggestion of the types of things and probably the cheapest one, but I do remember it happening a few years back in MHL and it actually looked quite cool. I would love to create this sort of culture at the bridge where we do get involved in this sort of thing, arranging all these cool things to spur the team on more. I think there are a lot of things which can be done and I think a group of like minded Chelsea fans could make some cool stuff. If you want to drop me an e-mail I would love to keep you in the loop. I now have 5 people who are committed, David Chidge from the fancast (podcast) is going to be talking about it on the next episode and I am in contact with him regarding possible ideas etc. I have also sent an e-mail to Pat Nevin to ask for some help on the matter as he has a large following on his Chelsea blog and twitter. Would love all the help possible and if we can get something out of this it would be great!
