In one dkw (I would say that you're right on the money, but we are referring to Wenger!). The astonishing thing is that so many Arse' fans can't or won't see this. I've had a couple of season tickets since migration to the Emirates, but for the last 3 years I've spent my money on holidays and the odd trip to watch either Barnet or Wimbledon. Not the EPL, but a lot less pretencious and you don't need a second mortgage to afford a ticket.

Okay, perhaps it's got something to do with clubs getting 'middle men' to buy players before picking them up for a few quid on top? like that lad Spurs got via Belgium from Man Utd? UEFA/Platini are a law unto themselves; talk about kneejerk :-(

Soulo, Wenger spends so much time consulting for Grampus Eight, PSG and Eurosport, he clearly thinks he should make the service more widely available. I rarely feel like taking a header off Beachy Head (8-2 and Bradford Citys excepting), but I'd often quite like to 'usher' AW over one. What's the problem with offloading (should you want to do so)Ba? Is it because you signed him in the last January window? I'd just like to say, it's nice to come onto a 'rival' board and have a decent chat without any rancour or anger - thanks.

I reckon that rumour may be a Wenger 'plant' to get him off the hook - fn miser :-) I keep reading that he 'dithers' over signings; well you guys and gals have him to thank for Juan Mata for starters, but my issue is that he never seems to dither when it comes to signing his own deal however (currently a reputed £7.5M). Sorry about the mini-rant :-) I reckon Higuain would be a decent signing for Chelsea, Mourinho knows him and the guy career averages something like a goal every other game.

Hi MM, I agree with you regarding Benteke. Lukaku is every bit as promising imo. I can understand you being a little conflicted by a non partisan gooner :-) but Steve is a good bloke, talks a bunch of sense and is an easy man to get along with and to like. I wouldn't normally have thought to join a Chelsea board, but he told me you are a great bunch, and from what I've seen, he's right :-)

I think that Lukaku is a better player tbh. Don't see the point of Chelsea going for him - I think it's more likely that Tottenham would want him to replace the unreliable Adebayor.

BlueBeard told me that you guys and gals were a good bunch who enjoy your football and can talk more than a good game :-)<br /><br />For what it's worth with the Benteke story, am I the only non Villa fan who thinks its a bit ungrateful that he apparently wants to shove off after just one season? About a year ago no one had heard of this guy, but Villa gave him his chance when no one else was interested.It seems fairly clear that as he's put a transfer request in, he's been tapped by someone (Arsenal? Tottenham?)via his agent. An earlier poster called him a one season wonder - that may be harsh, but at this point in time that's exactly what he's done; good luck to any team willing to match Villa's valuation (25+M) for a guy with one decent EPL season under his belt.
