I would be pleased if Rooney would join us, but if that didn't happen then I wouldn't be distraught. Lukaku has looked excellent in pre-season and his pace and strength are much better than last year. Ba is also looking better than last year and i'm sure with the 3 strikers we have at the minute we can challenge for the Premiership.

Don't see why anyone would be against Rooney, he's a great English player and much better than Torres and Ba. Rooney and Lukaku next year would be incredible.

Would be a good signing, quality player as our backup

There has been rumours today that Jose Mourinho is looking to sign Benteke as we have lost out on Cavani. I think this is a great move as he is a superb striker and still very young. His asking price could be around £20-£30 million. However, he has only had 1 season in the premier league and is relatively inexperienced to be our lead striker. Also with Lukaku being a few years younger would Benteke hamper his playing time due to age? He would be a great signing and would no doubt improve our squad, and would be encouraged to join by his fellow Belgians at the club. What do you think? Is he too inexperienced? Or do you wish him here as well?

I still think that Burak Yilmaz would be a good shout for a striker, he played really well in the champions league

Looks very good but don't know where he will fit into our team. Even if we loan him out he will have to compete with Piazon in a few years. Depends how cheap we can get him for.

He was rubbish yesterday versus Italy, had 1 decent shot on target and was never really that threatening. No way worth £35-40 million. Better to spend the money elsewhere.

I would love to give some more youth players a go this season, like playing Ake more. We need to grow great talents as well as buy them

There has been recent talk about Mourinho strengthening the defence and in my opinion CB and LB need to be looked at closely. RB: We have the right-back option filled nicely with Azpilicueta playing well this season, with Ivanovic and Wallace as back up incase. CB: At CB I think we need a new young talent. JT is becoming more injury prone and past his best, Cahill and Ivanovic have been solid but if Azpilicueta gets injured we are low on choices. In my opinion David Luiz needs to be given a chance and i'm sure Mourinho will get the best out of him. Yet if he is use more as a CDM then we will need a new face. LB: Maybe bringing in a young back-up player such as Luke Shaw or Fabio Coentrao would be a good idea as even though Bertrand is good, he's not going to be world-class. Main Position to think about : Possible CB'S : I have been really impressed by Varane whenever he has played for Madrid and I think he'll be a perfect addition to the squad. Dede has also been superb this season and possibly the best CB in Brazil at the moment, and pretty cheap. Mangala has also been really good this year, yet he could be very costly. Who would you like to see bought into defence or do you think it is good as it is?

City don't really seem to be interested in him anymore, due to their interest in El Shaarawy and just spending £50mil. Real Madrid are the only real threat. I'm hoping Mourinho announces we have signed him tomorrow in the press conference. However, if we don't sign him we can still sign a class striker.

Paulinho would be a great DM, hopefully Mourinho will try and sign him. £20million is pretty good and he has lots of international experience as well as playing well for Corinthians. Much better than Fernandinho in my opinion.
