Q1: How did your support of Chelsea FC start? When I was about 5 years old my uncle bought me a Chelsea shirt, already interested in playing football I took this as my team and absolutely fell in love with Chels. Q2: Are there a lot of Chelsea supporters amongst your family? My Dad is originally from Leicester but never truly supported a team, and never pushed me towards a specific club - and I'm so glad that my mum's side of the family pushed me into Chelsea because who knows what would've happened otherwise! It's a nice thing to have a family connection to a team, otherwise it doesn't feel like a deep connection. Q3: What have been the highlights of supporting the club? my first Chelsea game was a highlight - what a game, watching Chelsea smash Sunderland 5-0. But I'm pretty sure we'll all say that amazing night in Munich, and who can disagree! Q4: Are there any particular quirky stories and memories that you would like to share from either following the club or showing your support for the club? Can't really think of anything in particular. It was an embarrassing moment when I went to watch Huddersfield Town vs Bournemouth with some mates for a laugh, I accidentally shouted Chelsea during the beats of a chant. But hey, proud more than embarrassed, I guess. Q5: What lengths do you go to, to watch the club or find out our result (cutting short holidays, missing relatives’ weddings etc., that kind of thing)? I didn't miss a single Chelsea game this season just gone (on TV not live). Even when it wasn't on the TV I was there - streaming it from dodgy sites with terrible American commentary. I moved to Amsterdam about a month ago to work here for a year.. and I was seriously worried about not being able to watch Chelsea! As soon as I found out we were playing a preseason friendly against Vitesse Arnhem, I was on the train heading to the stadium!! And what a game it was. Q6: Who is your all-time favourite player and current favourite player and why? Tough one. I'm going to go with John Terry. but it's a close call between JT and Gianfranco Zola. At the moment it's Gary Cahill. I had so little faith watching him in the champions league in 2012, fresh off the press from Bolton. Now I believe in him more than any Centre Back we've ever had, paired with Terry that is. I think he'll become a hero at this club. Q7: Who do you currently attend matches with? Where do you sit? Where did you used to watch games from at The Bridge? I'm actually incredibly lucky to be related to someone who sits in the executive lounge. I've never sat with the hardcore blues, but I want to, I don't want to be the only lad in a chelsea shirt (not a suit), I want to immerse myself in the atmosphere of the Bridge. Then again, it's rare that I get to go anyway!! Q8: What thoughts spring to mind when you think of The Bridge? Victory. Blue is the colour. Didier Drogba. Sunshine. Q9: Do you attend away matches? If so, how often? Vitesse was my first away game - I'd love to go to a few more when I return to England. my first trip to 3 points lane will be a good one! Q10: What are your favourite away grounds and why? I've only been to a few other premier league grounds. I enjoyed Villa Park when I went... But nothing especially special to say about it. been to a good few championship stadiums, really enjoy those stadiums - and a few in Europe. Absolutely love the Stad Velodrome in Marseille!
  2. absolutely think this will be strong enough. Drogba is a goalscorer, doesn't matter about his form or fitness - he knows the club, he'll get the goals when he comes on; which might not be often, but it'll prove to be vital - I'm sure. Costa is a clear goalscorer, and he won't stop at Chelsea! He's got the flair that we've needed for a long time in our strikeforce, and he's a lot younger than people think - he could be a top goalscorer here one day (who knows, don't wanna hope for too much just yet)!! but if not this season, then i think next season Costa will be going for top goalscorer. Don't know what to say about Torres. Loved him since day one. Had his name on my shirt 2012/13 - and why not, we all had faith right? He's an excellent player of the game, makes chances all the time - yeah he misses the major goal opportunities and doesn't net enough - but in my opinion he's proved to be a proper team player. We've made our money back for his transfer in shirt sales - and he's scored some incredibly important goals for us (barca 2012) put a price tag on that relief moment why don't you? We don't need to buy anyone else. Have faith, this could be an incredible, incredible rotation system - and a sign of excellent things to come.
