Think Havertz is the last one on our books. We also lost Rudiger to Madrid on a free transfer from summer last year…………

Another day another potential Chelsea player leaving the club! Looks like Kai Havertz could be leaving us to go to Real Madrid due to Karim Benzema leaving Los Blancos for a club in Saudi Arabia. I don’t really know what to make of this as Havertz will always be appreciated as big part of our history due to scoring the winning goal in the champions league final of 2021. He had a very disappointing season just gone but who didn’t for us really. Going to Real Madrid would be a great move for him personally but I can’t see him working out as a number 9 over there. He didn’t really suit it for Chelsea. I think he’s better off as a forward playing off the striker than actually leading the line. If he does make the move I hope it’ll work out for him. He’s a very talented player and if Ancelotti can find a system that suits him then he can flourish in Madrid colours. Chelsea are reportedly already looking for a striker this summer so I don’t think Havertz leaving will be a big problem for us. With Christopher Nkunku’s arrival imminent it means we already have a like for like replacement in terms of a forward who can play off the striker. It’s gonna be fascinating to see what team we have going into the new season. Hopefully Pochettino can find the right formula and get us competing with the elite again.

Very sad to see the likes of Mount, Kovacic and Lofus Cheek leaving the club this summer. They’ve all had some great moments in Chelsea blue. Mount leaving will hurt the most as he was one of our own from the academy and was unbelievable in our run to champions league glory in 2021. Was hoping Pochettino would do what he did with Dele Ali at Spurs and make him play off the striker and try to get forward and score/create goals. Pochettino has a monumental task ahead of him this summer trying to get this broken club to compete at the top of the league next season. As much as I don’t like the fact he managed Spurs we have to give him a chance to try and suceed. We surely can’t get any worse than last season. If we could qualify for Europe again wether it be Conference league, Europa league or Champions league id be happy with that. Can’t be expecting to be battling for the premier league again straight away.

Disappointing defeat yesterday at the Etihad. It’s always gonna be difficult when we’re playing a top team like City but the manner of the defeat is very concerning. There was no rhythm or structure in the teams play today. I thought the youngsters gave it a good go but City were clearly a level above and once the first goal went in you felt it was going to be a long day at the office. We are clearly hampered by injuries but I feel that Potter just isn't at the level to manage a club of Chelsea’s size. Sacking Tuchel was a massive mistake by the new owners and it looks like we’re not going to get any European football next season.
