I am a liverpool Fan. So easy on me here since I am not here to have go at chelsea but just to enjoy some debates.
I am equally excited and nervous about this fixture and it will be interesting to see how Grant line up your side.
This season we seem to do good when our back is against wall. I think first goal for us is crucial in this tie. If we don't get it soon, you'll see our players getting frustrated and making mistakes. I expect same Liverpool team except Babel on Bench. He seems to be handfull when used as sub with his pace against tiring defense. But biggest disadvantage for us is absence of Aurelio. We were controlling the first game unntill he got injured. I don't like to slag my own players but Risse hinders our attacking play. Aurelio is skillful, fast (not express though), good passer of the ball and links very well with midfield unlike Risse. I think this will have some effect on our game. We have a good attacking left back in Insua (U19 Argie) who could have solved this problem but I think he will get slaughtered by Drogba (not because of the ability but due to sheer strength of Drogba). So we don't have any option rather than Risse and this will have some impact on our game.
From chelsea point of view, we'll see where Essien will play. I'll be happy to see him at Right back since I think otherwise he will keep tabs on Gerrard. Don't rate Lampard that much but Ballack seems to have captured his Germany form. He gives your team mobility and creativity which you will lack from likes of Mikel and others.
Anyway I hope this game to be a cracker and may best team win. I can't say best luck to you guys since we need it after the Risse own goal.
