Garry that is a fantastic collection. I was at many of those games from 77-78 season onwards. If you are able to upload the Chelsea 5 Ipswich 3 game from 77-78 I'd be eternally grateful. That was my first ever live game. Quite an introduction :) Forbzy I put that Ipswich game on earlier, I think it is on page 21 or 22

Forgive my last post as I am writing on the train The Hudson goal maybe around, but I have been unable to track it down. Southampton, though it was a miserable result on a boggy pitch, but i wanted it, unfortunately ITV have lost or the film is damaged., same for the Spuds LC/SF Only someone who had a video recorder in 1972 or 1977 will have that, and having a video back then was highly unlikely a bit like Tottenham winning the Premetship As for the BBC, they are totally useless. The only place you can get the full highlights are from John Motson who kept all recordings of matches he commentated on. Same with Crysta Palace FAC 1976, the highlights are available but you would do well to get hold of Jimmy Hill's accesment on the violence and Kung fu kick (which they also showed in slow motion for good measure.) I have the news paper clips of all that if you want a read

Hi Garry Unfortunately when I started chasing the games from the TV companies the BBC were the worse. Most of the action archived were only goals in colour. They kept very few match highlights. The games they sent me all cut short, so I missed the last goal against Hereford. I was able to stitch The Crystal Palace game till the end and I got the last goal of the 3-1 West Ham defeat. The Leeds game also fell short. There are a few games considered lost forever, whatever that means such as the game at White Hart Lane in the League Cup Semi-Final....So far I have only got Chris Garlands goal. The Blackpool away and Southampton FA Cup Replay of 1976-77 also seem to have disapeared forever. I always thought I saw a 2-2 away draw with Bolton, we wore all Red (am I right??) in 76-77, but that game has not surfaced either, maybe it was a news item I saw.

Garry That is a great write up mate, very emotional. I am so pleased the footage revives some great and personal images and memories for you.......And all you genuine fans on this forum. Another season maybe would have bought that team on. Eddie staying and a bit of experience in the squad. Bearing in mind we already had the Cat, Chopper, David Hay, Micky Droy, Charlie Cooke and Bill Garner. We should have emulated at least Tommy Dochertys Red Army and that great young team they had, very exciting football. Forest scraped through at Bolton's expense, and the next season Clough bought in Archie Gemmell and Peter Shilton. Thats all it took to go on and win the league, League Cup, Charity Shield and the European Cup. Our young team of 76-77 team were a team of mates playing together. I still see a lot of them today and they still piss around like when they were in their teens and early 20's. A real genuine bunch of lads. With all our recent success do you think we will still talk about the players of today with the same emotion ????
