  1. Actually no, if I was towing the party line, I would be following the herd on here and criticising him but I'm not I'm trying to put another view across and make people think. That is the OPPOSITE of North Korea.
  2. I'm really not! I understand how it seems that way, but this is genuinely my belief. I just see people posting increasingly hysterical things and the big picture is being forgotten. Egged on by the media blowing anything to do with Chelsea out of all proportion and the appointment of Benitez, some fans seem to be losing their heads. I just want to put an opposite view, even if it means being shouted down, ridiculed etc etc. Sometimes you have to stand up for your view and I don't want to just stand by when the best owner in world club football is being villified. No owner is going to please every fan, all of the time, but by God Abramovich has come close, especially when compared to other owners. I just don't understand why Chelsea fans are so quick to get on his back when the likes of Arsenal don't say a peep about what goes on at their club. We are a club that regularly sacks managers, is this really the biggest crime in the world? Even before Abramovich, under Ken Bates we were not stability driven, he sacked a fair number. In other Countries the media don't react like they do here when a manager is dismissed, it's a very strange weird 'fetish', the English media has about not sacking managers. I for one like that Roman Abramovich doesn't care what the media think or say about him.
  3. With all the negativity and increasingly hysterical atmosphere on this forum, I wanted to post in support of our owner and take a moment to make a few people think. Roman Abramovich is the best owner in world club football bar none. Ever since buying Chelsea, he has demanded Success and Glory and settled for nothing less. He has invested money not just in players but into areas of the club like training facilities, which are now one of the best in the world at Cobham. Under his ownership and leadership Chelsea has become one of the biggest and most successful clubs in European football, a club top players from all over the world want to join. Abramovich is responsible for bringing some of the best players and managers in the world to Chelsea FC. Unlike other owners Abramovich comes to watch Chelsea as often as possible and takes an active interest in the club. He is a genuine football fan and his passion for Chelsea was on display at the CL Final in Munich. Caught on TV cameras, his emotions and reactions were the very same as Chelsea fans in the stadium and all around the world. Roman Abramovich has invested HIS OWN money into Chelsea, now totaling £1BN, he always delivers for the club, whatever we need. Contrast this with owners of other clubs, be it ripping off fans (arsenal), failing to invest in players (arsenal), taking money out of the club (man united), selling their best players (arsenal & united), driving the club to near bankruptcy (liverpool), actually watching the club in person can be counted on one hand (arsenal, city), constant bargain basement buys (spurs, arsenal). Abramovich has given us Chelsea fans some of the best moments and memories in our lives and our success has attracted man many more fans to become Blues. He has NEVER asked fans for anything in return for what he has given and brought to this club. Surely some gratitude is in order? Unfortunately due to media bias and negativity towards Abramovich, fueled in some part because of anti-Russian prejudice, he is always caricatured as a bad person. Now some Chelsea fans are hopping on the bandwagon, it's incredibly sad to see. I really hope people start to put things into perspective. Here is a positive article (probably the one and only): http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1196587-roman-abramovich-a-look-at-chelsea-fcs-owner Lastly, to prove Roman is an all round good guy: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2056246/Roman-Abramovich-paid-ransom-free-British-hostages-held-Chechen-rebels.html He paid a ransom to free British hostages and NEVER sought any publicity. All I ask is you remember some of these things before you all do anything you will regret and anything that will damage Chelsea FC.
  4. I'm not booing, protesting, boycotting I'm going to get behind the club I support.
  5. Let us get this straight right here and now. You say you would rather Chelsea be in the second division than be successful under Benitez, yeah? And then you have the cheek to say RA should listen to fans like you. Someone who has no qualms about Chelsea being in the second division. Something that would not just be disastrous but truly catastrophic for our club in the modern football times. RA is doing what he thinks will make Chelsea successful not put us in the second division. Thank God, I say.
  6. That sentence alone says everything about you. You would rather nurse a grievance against the club than get behind it in our darkest hour. The likes of you paint yourselves as 'real fans' and slag fans like me off. But no proper Chelsea fan can want anything but success for the club, no matter who the manager is.
  7. Interesting? Interesting? I don't find some idiot calling our owner 'a fool' repeatedly, on live TV, interesting. I think it f**king disgusting and disgraceful. What does he know? He knows NOTHING of Abramovich or the inner workings of Chelsea FC. That clip is a complete example of the media manipulation of the real facts. It's endlessly said and written that the 'Manchester United way' of stability is the only way to success blah blah blah. This is a falsehood, a myth. Chelsea with our 8 managers have won more than Man United in the last decade, yes you read that right. So in reality Roman Abramovich is more successful than Saint Alex Ferguson, not a fool. People need to open their eyes and look beyond England and the English media's skewed version and get a reality check. Continental clubs like Barca, Real, Bayern Munich etc have had as many managers as Chelsea or also sack managers more regularly and guess what? They are actually MORE successful than Man United. It's funny how the very same people have quietly stopped including Wenger at Arsenal in there 'stability' fetish.
  8. People need to calm down, things are becoming increasingly hysterical on here. Please remember, Benitez has only been appointed as an interim until the summer. FFS it is SIX MONTHS!! That is all. I have no doubt and I mean NO DOUBT, he will not be here longer than that, so put this into perspective. I don't want him either but I support Chelsea FC not Benitez. There is no point fan turning on fan. This forum is becoming like the Judean People's Front scenario. People are separating into 'REAL' Chelsea fans, 'TRUE' Chelsea fans and others are being denounced as 'plastics'. Just STOP, we are all Chelsea fans. It's time to get behind the team and the club. It will not be good for our new young players if fans turn on the club and make the manager's job impossible. I also think fans should remember all Abramovich has done for us and this club. Think about how he was watching the Final in Munich, he was just like the rest of us, feeling every emotion in that game. Compare him with other owners like Kroenke, Glazers, Joe Lewis etc and there is no comparison. We don't like Benitez but just go with it until the summer. This week has been bad for the club, yes. But can't you all see a lot of it is media driven? It's at this time we fans need to unite and defend our club because no-one else will. This last decade or more we Chelsea fans have enjoyed incredible moments and memories, seen fantastic players and managers come to our club. We have become one of the biggest clubs in Europe, with the good and bad that brings. Now a difficult moment has arrived, but surely this is the time to redouble your loyalty to CFC, to support the club more than ever? We are Chelsea fans and we stick with our club, NO MATTER WHAT! We are not like the scum from North London turning on a sixpence, we are better than that and now is the time to stay true to our ways. I don't understand how people can say the club doesn't listen to us. After AVB, Roman wanted to appoint Benitez, short term to improve Torres but did not because of the fans. He also did not want to give the job to RDM permanent but did because for the first time he went against his own instincts.
  9. Not me, I've been a member since June 2011
  10. Because so called Chelsea fans are wishing ill on the club. In the words of Drogba "It's a f**king disgrace"
  11. Go and have a w**k, you sound very frustrated!!
  12. Guys, he's interim. That is all. I don't like him as much as anyone and I think he should be made to apologize to get the fans onside. But we have two choices: 1. Support the team, club, owner and manager and hope for success until the summer 2. Boo bitch and create an awful atmosphere, where our young players lose confidence and it ruins and poisons the club I'm taking number 1, anyone joining me?
