A young petr cech before the injury was on par with if not better than de gea. I had the pleasure of watching him up close for a couple of years and his early performances where unbelievable and you would often enjoy rival teams taking shots just to see him make the saves. For a big man who is heavy built he was extremely quick.
 
The only time I had ever seen him truly beaten was ronaldinho at the bridge and that goal was freak of nature.
 
I would argue that if he never had that injury he would have gone on to be a better goal keeper than peter schmeichel.
 
He still went on to make one of the finest displays in the history of the champions league and for that I will always love him.
 
Courtois is good and potentially world class but this season everyone has been poor. I would be more worried for him if the team has been good and he had been this bad but really it is more of a collective responsibility right now.
