€65 million for Torres

This is where we differ. I'm sure we'd be extremely interested in signing Torres, and I know that Man City would love to sign JT. However, I also believe the possibility of either deal actually going through to be equally remote.

This one is a load of sh*te, pure and simple.

Benitez goes to the press, "oh, everyone wants Torres because he is so good, Man Utd, Chelsea, City AND Real bid x for him"

what are the chances of that actually happening? Why would a rival, who have no realistic chance of signing him, bother wasting their time with a formal offer. Why would Real, who by all accounts were unprepared to top 35 for Villa, offer twice that for him? Just more bollox from the fat spanish waiter. Go talk about Gareth Barry's career, tubby
