Hey all,

I'm coming over to London in a few weeks. We've already got tickets for Chelsea/Bolton on the 29th. Since they are only playing the one game when we're there, we're going to go to a couple others as well. One is West Ham/Everton, but since that is in London I figure we will be able to manage getting around. The other is Man City/Blackpool. We were planning on taking the train up to Manchester. I believe the closest station is Ashburys. We are staying at the millenium hotel attached to Stamford Bridge. What is the closest rail station to Stamford Bridge? Where can I book tickets for that station to Ashburys or do I even need to do that in advance? Thanks for all the help. Cheers!

We are staying at the millenium hotel attached to Stamford Bridge. What is the closest rail station to Stamford Bridge? Fulham Broadway tube station is about 2 mins walk away. Nearest overground station is West Brompton. Your best bet will be to get the tube into central London and go to Manchester from there, i think Euston station will be your best bet, and you want Manchester Picadilly Station. Where can I book tickets for that station to Ashburys or do I even need to do that in advance? Id book your trip to Manchester beforehand as it will be cheaper and you might be able to reserve some seats (in general the UK intercity train system is in a pitiful state. Overbooked, overpriced and totally under subsidised) Try thetrainline.com , you wont need to prebook a local journey from Manchester Picadilly to Ashburys. Thanks for all the help. Cheers! Have fun!
