Hello. New to forum, new to Chelsea, new to football.

Hello,

My name is Mike. I am a 26 year old American who currently lives in Belgium. I spent most of my life not really caring about football (or soccer as we Americans call it), however, that changed during the 2010 World Cup. I really enjoyed watching that event, but for some reason let my interest lapse again until the current World Cup. I want to be able to watch and learn more about the game after the World Cup is over. From reading and watching videos, as well as by reputation, the Premier League seemed like the best league to watch. For some reason I always felt drawn to Chelsea FC, even as a casual observer, so I decided to follow Chelsea.

I hope seeing what people here have to say helps me learn more about the game, makes me enjoy it more, and makes me like Chelsea more as well.

Mike

Welcome to the forum Mike! Feel free to add input and ask as many questions as you like.

The Prem is a fantastic league to watch. So don't lose that interest after the World Cup is over. Just wait until you watch a Champions League final, it can certainly match the intensity of a World Cup final.

BTW, also an American, from the Baltimore area.

I doubt I will lose the interest this time around. I am actually trying to find out how to get tickets to the Chelsea pre-season game at Arnhem in Holland. Wouldn't be a long way for me to go and it would be a good first chance to check it out live.
