Ticket price freeze with new discounted category for under-20s

I can't post links or copy text for some reason but the story is on the official website.

The youth category ticket for season tickets holders, members and general sale is being extended from under 18's to under 20's.

Step in the right direction.

Chelsea Football Club is delighted to announce a new discounted ticket pricing category for under 20-year-olds. All other season ticket and individual match ticket prices for next season at Stamford Bridge remain frozen at 2011/12 levels.

Chelsea will extend our existing junior ticket category from under-18 to under 20-year-olds for season ticket holders, members and general sale tickets.

The new pricing structure, which is being trialled during the 2015/16 season, results from consultations the club held with fan groups.

The overall price freeze for the 2015/16 campaign covers all the non-hospitality sections of the stadium and all domestic league, cup and European competitions, and includes seats sold to members as well as those which go on general sale.

The existing discounted-rate structures for tickets for home domestic cup games, and for any European group stage home matches the club may play, remain in place.

Concessionary-price season tickets for the new, extended junior category and for supporters aged 65 or over are available in all home areas of the stadium.

Members aged under 20 or 65 years and over will be able to buy tickets at concessionary rates for the East Stand for Premier League games and Champions League knockout round matches, and for all home areas for domestic cup ties and Champions League group-stage games.

The club will also continue our existing policy of assisting supporters attending our away matches with travel and ticket subsidies.

Chairman Bruce Buck said: ‘We constantly review our ticket prices, and discuss our pricing structure with our fans. This is the eighth time in 10 seasons there has been no increase in the cost of general admission tickets at Stamford Bridge and now we are going to help more of our younger fans with our new concessionary pricing for our supporters in the under-20 age group. We recognise the importance of our younger fan base to the present day and the future of Chelsea.’

Season-ticket renewal forms and the full ticket policies for next season will be available in April.
