Attacking set piece no better

Featured Replies

So - Eden is our best player (by a mile) but his corner delivery, and Willians, is terrible.

Under Conteh we did lots different moves and short corners etc - Sarri doesn't seem to have any idea other than plop it near post, middle or far post - all within the defending teams defending unit to head away or keeper catch it (not even punch it)

We get plenty share of corners but hit rate is woeful - its not about the size of the players but the nous applied to the options - JT era (10 years of it) we were often getting results.

how many goals from corners this year and from whom - can't remember more than a couple.

sorry not just whinging but hoping someone reading this can change it..........................

always hope

Oh, and David Luiz (all respects top player btw), has hit the head of defender of last 10 free kciks he has taken - can someone else have a go please

Our set pieces are bad I think partially because the players attacking them aren'tas good. JT and Ivan were the two best defenders at attacking corners I've watched anywhere. The guys now just don't have the strength or heading ability.

But I agree Hazard in particular is awful at corners. If we were to sign Coutinho as his replacement (as is mooted) then that would be an area that he would improve.
