March 31, 20206 yr Watched his programme with a sense of dread. Yup, there's the Paris metro, and a few blokes singing about Mo Salah in a bar in Prague But central story re Chelsea was a story from a bloke recounting his first visit to Chelsea. It's heartbreaking, both subject to racism and his Father covered in spit. They leave at half time. But in the cold light of day I'm wondering about it. Why didn't they move , the vast majority of us weren't racists, surely no one would stand with their young son and put up with that ? I know from experience going with black mates that around us racist abuse of players would increase in volume and nastiness, I've no doubt at all because of our black mates in the crowd. I might be looking for an excuse for us and I'll never know what it was like for a black fan, and I might be doing that guy a huge disservice by doubting him , as he was genuinely moved and saddened as he told his story. I wondered if anyone else saw it ?
