  1. I think the rules on spending etc don't ever take into account assets, players or anything else. It's purely what we spend ( transfers, and wages for every member of staff not just players) against income ( player sales commercial etc) I could well be wrong, but spending on a player isn't wiped out because you actually have the player as an asset? Sydney has a very good explanation regarding both our comments .
  2. I would like us to look more closely at our "world class" academy for potential players as replacements And I hope this is the last season with a multitude of players coming and going, it doesn't do anything for the stability of the team. . Still,so far, so good, a welcome change from every other window since the takeover.
  3. You can see how it stood out amongst the other buildings. The Crystal Palace itself can be seen in this picture. It was destroyed in the fire of 1936
  4. The (water) tower you can see in the 3rd picture was pulled down during WW2 to avoid it being used as a navigational aid by the Luftwaffe..
  5. Before uncontested drop balls !
  6. The transfer deficit since 22/23 is around ยฃ750 million. That's purely the difference in what we've spent buying players and minus how much we've received in transfers from selling players. Our overall losses taking into account all income ( broadcasting, commercial etc) and spending for 24/25 season was a record for an English club at -ยฃ342 million I'm not clued up about whether or not all that matters, but what I DO know is that that amount of spending should have consolidated as a top elite club and enabled us to win titles and other trophies
  7. Yeah, has lots of very good qualities at a young age and especially as he's playing in an unfamiliar league and a new club Rooney, although familiar with the PL and was playing for Everton, was just 16 when he scored THAT goal v Arsenal, but he had the build and look of someone much.older. Our lad is looking good though, hope this loan doesn't hold him back, he needs to develop into a PL player. Not sure Burnley was the best place for that to happen, hopefully the club won't let him stay there if it's not good for him
  8. From the BBC football site last night... Player of the match Number: 12 D. Satpaev Average rating 7.18
  9. Oh, the Radio commentator said he's just come off to a standing ovation from the fans..
  10. I understand he's been looking good ? For him to start anyway at his age is a great achievement for the lad , I hope we see him at the Bridge sooner rather than later, How's he doing tonight?
  11. Do we actually get " instant cash" from sales? Aren't payments spread out in installments? Whatever we do this window, we are still on nearly or over a ยฃ700 million net deficit spend on transfers with this ownership. From where we were when they bought us, that spending should have cemented us as a real force in football. Shame, it could/should have been so much better than it turned out.
  12. You don't mind Arsenal??
  13. Well, that's a different version. To be fair the French football pundit on TalkSport did say there were several versions of the situation doing the rounds. I don't think we had made a bid for him before deadline day ?
  14. Spurs. Above and beyond anyone else ever . Nothing will ever come close for me. As for Citeh ? They've taken the two Enzos off our hands and given us Cole Palmer. I quite like them!! ๐Ÿ˜‚
  15. The player didn't want to come here, and the manager wanted him to stay. He was prepared to lose Balogun but insisted Camara was vital to the team . This from a French football pundit on TalkSport this morning.
  16. If the club really wanted him they wouldn't have left it until he suddenly became available because of a collapsed sale to Everton just before deadline.. Dunno why everyone is cursing Monaco,, what's the big deal?
  17. I remember the excitement and joy from me and others on here when we got the Fernandez deal done very late on deadline day. He let us down, the git
  18. Well, this window isn't looking too Xabi is it . Pretty good I reckon
  19. I wish he would clear up the fecking mess he's made of our once elite club ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜‚
  20. You can never beat the window when we highjacked Willian from Spurs leading to a great song about it!
  21. Blimey, how did you manage to remember him?? ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ‘
  22. if he's good in the French league he's bound to be good in the Premier league. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜‚
  23. Senegalese players have a good record at Chelsea, as have players from Monaco ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
