  1. Don't get your hopes up about our Sporting Directors being sidelined. !!! On Thursday, after the 2-1 loss, a combined effort involving the club's sporting directors, head coach Xabi Alonso and co-owner Behdad Eghbali helped secure a deal. Even Chelsea captain Reece James was making the club's case from within the England camp, while those close to the negotiations say Cole Palmer was also aware of developments as, in Rogers' words, "one of my best friends in life". It was a well-planned operation involving figures across the club and resulted in Rogers being signed in under 48 hours. The deal was underpinned by the strong relationship between Chelsea co-owner Eghbali and Aston Villa owner Nassef Sawiris, with the agreement being finalised on Saturday afternoon, shortly before Rogers took to the field in England's bronze-medal victory over France.
  2. Yeah, The last thing the club needs is Eghbali acting as a fecking Sporting Director. I can imagine Rogers being convinced to join us by Alonso and probably more wages, but FFS keep that no nothing about football eejit out of it..

  4. I think it was actually the real building itself in the series? I know it was a semi regular feature in one of those puppet series
  5. £117 million? Were we in a bidding war with another club?
  6. Yes mate. So with Argentina in the final, why did FIFA suddenly abandon the conspiracy?
  7. I know what you mean. Unfortunately, teams think that passing around with no risk and just keeping the ball is what Spain do. I agree it's ruining the game and I hate it, hard to say, but Klopp got Liverpool playing a totally different way, high energy, attacking football that I think all football fans would love to watch. And Arsenal have found an even more anti-football way to success. I just hope at least we won't have to watch the worst of Maresca ball anymore now we have Xabi in charge.. Can't wait for the season to start... Come on you BLUES!!
  8. Trump was trying to get amongst the team for the trophy lift, Infantino prancing around trying to move him away.!
  9. I'm so glad Spain won if only to put and end to the daft conspiracy theory that FIFA and officials were going provide Argentina and Messi with a World Cup come what may. Apart from that, I'm glad that a team playing good football won the trophy .
  10. I've always said that since 1966 fans always claimed that our brilliant England team were world beater's but were let down by incompetent managers. But THIS time it's as clear as day that Tuchel f**ked us up. AND you could tell afterwards that he's not really that bothered either.
  11. I must say, that's quite a nasty over reaction to England getting beaten.
  12. They are definitely not allowed to do it. I can't believe they were that stupid to do this, but I would be surprised if there is no punishment.
  13. If he stays we should make Enzo play in an Argentina shirt. He's something else in the National team.
  14. That idiot's comment about Reece's injury ( no one saw that coming ") is nonsense. Tuchel was Chelsea manager when Reece suffered hamstring injuries, everyone could see it coming.
  15. I've always thought we have spent every World Cup since 1966 blaming managers for not even reaching a final, when in fact sometimes we simply weren't good enough or that during those 60 years other national teams were superb ( Brazil, Germany, etc etc) . BUT this defeat is all down to Tuchel, Argentina weren't a threat, Messi looked lost, then TT makes changes, we are camped around our box, no out ball possible, we were under siege, it was just a matter of time wasn't it ?.
  16. Kane sent off for diving. (2 yellow cards) Bellingham sent off for protesting in front of the referee during which the referee goes down clutching his face and rolling around. . New FIFA rule just for tonight, Argentina to be awarded penalties instead of corner kicks..
  17. England win 3-1 Reece James hattrick
  18. Imagine if he has to present the Trophy to Spain.😂 Mind you the spoilt man child will probably call his good friend ""Johnny " to make sure it doesn't happen.
  19. There will be dancing in the streets of Petroclub if they win tonight.
  20. Well, there's possession and so called " control" that we saw with Maresca at Chelsea.. And then there's Spain, moving the ball in and out amongst the opposition, constant movement and when out of possession a fierce work rate from the start of the game to the last minute. .
  21. Thanks as usual Sydney for an informative post 👍. I wasn't aware of the information contained in your last paragraph.mate .
  22. Love that ariel shot of the stadium Ersk 👍
