And I remember the Shed giving Ossie unforgivable abuse at one point in the replay He shook his head in disbelief, it was embarrassing for the majority of us.

Well, the early "bovver" was some of the older Fulham road supporters attacking other fans, usually just harmless men and youngsters tbh , pretty much had it out own way until West Ham and Arsenal turned up though.. first time we had seen a group of fans hell bent on dishing it out to us at our place. By the time of the Final v spurs we had a decent group of die hard s together, during the late sixties.

Yeah, their swamping was more like violent attacks !... United must have got in as soon as the gates opened.when we arrived the place was already full.of em. 2nd time it happened we had to stand at the bovril end of the shed... They never tried it ever again though !

Hull swamped the shed end in 1966 , dunno how many they brought down but it was pretty impressive .Think we stood under North stand that day, as we had to a couple of times when United got in early and sheer numbers meant we couldn't get under the roof.
