TT Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 I got my season off to a nice start with a ?200 profit on the LA Galaxy game, but I had to risk a big loss in the process. For the Feyenoord game I am going to be a lot more conservative, and I am just going for: ?20 on us to win 1-0 @ 11/2 ?10 on us to win 2-0 @ 7/1
The Moos Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 My mom says 2-1 but I'm actually going for 3-2. Don't know why though. Can't see us letting in that many goals. On the other hand we will probably be facing better strikers today than earlier in the pre season.
Jack Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 I know hindsight is a wonderful thing, but having seen our other pre-season games and the fact that we were playing away and had just got back from the US and were probably a bit jet-lagged, I put a tenner on the draw at 21/10. Nice double save, Carlo!

Nice one Jack. I thought about betting on the straight win (@ 10/11), but decided against it.
sergeyMS Posted July 26, 2007 Posted July 26, 2007 I think for first few monthes our defence would be a little shaky while Jose would be sorting all defenders especially on the right flank - our weakest spot, achilles heel if you want, which cost us a lot of points and especially conceeded goals. I think we would score more than last year(we have reasons for that) but would conceed enough too. So betting, 1-0, 2-0, 3-0 is not the best the thing to do. Though I understand my role in this business here.
TT Posted July 26, 2007 Author Posted July 26, 2007 So betting, 1-0, 2-0, 3-0 is not the best the thing to do. You may well be right sergyMS, but I am ever the optimist. Ferreira, JT, Carvalho, and Ashley should be very familiar playing together, and with cech behind them, and one from Makelele/Mikel/Essien/Diarra in front, I think we should still hope to see plenty of clean sheets. But I agree, for pre-season, is not the time to be confident for a clean sheet. Cheers, TT
