Posted October 1, 200717 yr I know its early days but for me this weekend it was plain to see this wasn't a Jose Mourhino side. Where's all the rejoycing from the 'entertainment brigade'? We play at home to Fulham with 2 holding midfielders, did Avram really think they were that much of a threat? His formation was 1 goal keeper, 4 defenders, 2 holding midfielders and 4 players in the final 3rd who didn't have a clue of their job. I think the front 3/4 players were just told to go out there and play! Joe Cole looks like he's had the 'shackles' taken off but theres only so many tricks, flicks and drag backs you can pull off without any end product. At the sharp-end of the top level of football managers should concentrate on the finer points of the game. Any of us could take a training session at Chelsea and then tell them pre-match to 'go and play your heart's out', but unfortunately it doesn't quite work like that at this level, there's a bit more to it isn't there Avram? You need to know your job, who you're marking at set pieces, who's taking the set pieces, who's dangerous at set pieces! If we're defending, who going to stay out in case we break? Who's going to go forward if we're attacking? Chelsea using 6 different corner takers goes someway to proves Avram possibley has them running round cones in training, and not concentrating on other aspect's of the game, like SET-PIECES! It's Sheva's ball, and he'll take all the corners, freekicks, penalties and throw-ins, and if you don't let him, he'll take his ball home! Do your homework Avram!! Work out who your corner taker is going to be and stick with it, don't just pick the nearest player or choose the owners favourite, or is that dicision not yours to take? Organisation is the managers job, and we looked like 11 strangers at the weekend!!!! Still, Roman was in the shed clapping so that was nice - every cloud 'n all that.........

I promise to never again slag off Frank for his corner and free kick abilities. It's obvious that he takes them all because everyone else is hopeless.
