I was just thinking about Fergies comments a while back that he beleive his squad is stronger than his treble winning '99 team. It got me thinking, really, being completely honest with ourselves, how does our squad compare with our rivals (Man Utd in particular).

we have a better squad!

I think if you go position for position we are equally as good in most areas. They obviously have Ronaldo, but we have Drogba. I think up front they have a little edge on us, but the one area that they have us totally dominated in...self belief!

Keepers

Van Der Saar, Ben Foster

Cech, Carlo, Hilario

think we have them there

Defenders

Brown, Vidic, Ferdinand, Evra, O'shea, Neville

Belletti, Paulo, terry, Percy, Alex, Bridge, Cole

think we win that area too

Midfielders

Giggs, Scholes, Anderson, Hargreaves, Carrick, Fletcher

Lampard, Ballack, Mikel, Essien, Maka

I think we are pretty even there.

Attacking players

Nani, Teves, Ronaldo, Saha, Rooney, JS Park

J Cole, Kalou, Anelka, Drogba, pizarro, Sheva, SWP, Malouda

I think they have us there, mainly because half of our attacking players are not performin while Saha is about the only one for them who is not featuring

So overall we are really quite even. Think we have a deeper selection of Defenders, but I think they have better flair and creativity up front. As I said, the main difference is their self belief
