Not trying to sound depressing. But does anyone remember an away game, maybe Cambridge or Brighton when a lad lent out of the train window and hit a wall or concrete post.I heard he survived.

What period was our mob at its peak
Does anyone remember Spurs away one year in the 80s and I think West Hams game was called off and a mob of them turned up and the old bill put them in a little pen behind the goal. Also remember Wednesday away and the train was rammed and we all go off at Chesterfield much to the old bills annoyance. Those away days in the 80s were something else, the numbers were huge,it was like a Viking invasion every other Saturday. Man City away when we took 8-10 thousand was one that I will never forget.

Areas you see a lot of Chelsea fans
Northolt.I played for a Sunday league side in around Pitshangar, they were mostly QPR. I would say from Northolt up the A40 to Shepherd's Bush,a lot around the Northfields Avenue area. Their boys all met in Jacksons which is in Northfields Avenue planning to meet Chelsea at or around Ealing Broadway for a tear up.Old bill got wind and kept them in pub for hours. I know a few of them, couple are pals believe it or not. They hate us with a vengeance

Ruislip was Chelsea,I went to Bishop Ramsey and we had a good number every home game meeting at Ruislip station. Or we went South Ruislip to Notting Hill Gate and changed. As soon as you went one stop to Northolt it was QPR. They never said boo to a goose in those early 80s,now look at them. Talk about an inferiority complex, they all hate us.

Not to forget when Kerry stuck the volley in at the Clock End.Never been to a game like that for atmosphere and sheer numbers. Does anyone know the attendance that day?

Vintage Blues pictures and film
Guys, you have made my day,no my year. What fantastic memories,I started going to home games at around 1978/79.I was 13 at the time and I went to Bishop Ramsey School in Ruislip. In fact most of my friends at school were Chelsea and by the time we hit the early 80s we had a regular little group of between 10-15 school kids meeting at about 12-00 to travel up to The Bridge and stand in the middle of The Shed. Then a few of us started going to away games,we had the bug big time. Always remember Cambridge away, walking through those fields trying not to step on cows dung and having the whole ground with Chelsea.City away and Portsmouth away stick out. My older brother is Cockneymark,he's done a few uploads on youtube.
