I'll be honest guys, not really been a fan of his since I first saw him and not seen much this season to convince me otherwise! I just can't see us winning the League with him consistantly playing in the defensive midfield position! As always, would love to be proven wrong! Mooch

That wasn't quite the point I was making! I judge a player based on his performances. Our defence has looked vulnerable since Mikel has been playing, an area that Maka kept 'tidy' over the past few years. Granted, Maka was probably the best in the business at it, but I just don't think Mikel's best midfield position is the holding one. He just doesn't have the heart for it. It's a pity, because I think he has all the physical attributes to succeed here! But I think for him to be successful at Chelsea, he'll need to play further forward! There he can afford to be more of a liability with occasional flashes of brilliance, which he most certainly possesses. Mooch

Does nobody else think that Obi 1 Kanobe is possibly our laziest player?! He just always looks so lethargic and the only time he ever appears excited is when he's having a scrap with an opposition player!! But then he comes out with the occasion brilliance and everyone says what a player we've got!!! Give me Essien any day of the week!! Or Diarra! Or Maka for that matter! Mooch

I know, I know! I'm only talking hypothetically! It is not the right thing to do and unfair on Cech, but I just can't help think that Carlo has the edge on penalties! Like in Hockey, they bring on specialist players to take penalty corners, it would be good if we could bring on a specialist penalty saver!! Mooch

I know that everyone is probably still gutted about last night. But I just wonder why when Jose made the tactical decision to bring on Ron (Geremi ), who is a penalty specialist apparently, he didn't bring on Carlo instead! Cech is without a doubt the best goalkeeper in the world, but he cannot save penalties. Since he has been our No. 1, I cannot recall us winning a penalty shoot-out or even him saving a single penalty. In contrast, look back to the period 3-4 seasons ago when nobody could put a penalty past Carlo! He seems to anticipate penalties better than Petr. Petr IMHO always seems to move too early during penalty kicks allowing the attacker to place it in the opposite corner. I knew deep down that if we didn't win it in 120 minutes that we would lose on penalties. Gutted, simply gutted!!! Mooch

I don't mind who plays left back as long as they are left footed, unless it's Willy G - let's be honest he's f**king awesome wherever he plays at the back!! Lahm does look a very good prospect, I remember him when we played against him a few seasons ago (Stuttgart if my memory serves me right), but there is something not right about a left back cutting inside all the time! So am afraid it's Ashley Cole, to do a 'Sol Campbell' and move to us, for me!! Cheers, Mooch
