I'm always surprised how hard people are around here on Pulisic. I thought he had a very good game and was the most dangerous looking player for Chelsea. Allison made two good saves on him, he pulled a tough shot wide by inches and was a little wide on another shot. How is that different from Luis Diaz who everybody has been saying was fantastic. Diaz also had a ton of shots with most missing the target. I took a look at the last six games and compared Pulisic to Diaz. Minutes are 476 to 328 in favor of Diaz. Both have two goals and one assist. Shots are 25 to 11 and on target are 8 to 3 to Diaz. Touches are 294 to 186. Diaz has been an incredible signing for Liverpool and has gained accolades from fans and pundits alike. I'm not saying that Pulisic is as good as Diaz nor saying he has played as well as Diaz but his numbers to me don't look like he has been god awful. Pulisic turns the ball over a lot (to be expected as he tries to dribble through a team) and often seems like he is trying to catch up to Mount on the counter. However his dribbling and first touch are fantastic and gets in many dangerous areas. Lukaku could have found him on two occasions for open goals yet never even looked up as Lukaku doesn't pass in those situation.
