Our New Stadium
RA failed because he or rather the board played a dirty underhand game. They under estimated CPO and the depth of feeling they had for the club. If they had tried to take the CPO along with them rather than shut them out, strong arm them and for example get friends to buy shares to sway the result they possibly would have won.. Although unlike the Americans they all (CPO inc) did what they did with the best intentions. IMHO.

Nothing worse than a half empty stadium, I struggle to believe Chelsea can get anywhere near 82k on an average matchday without massive incentives Sometimes it's a case of "Careful what you wish for.."

BlueCo buy Chelsea FC
As I read your list I was thinking " But Abu Dhabi is much nicer" then you mentioned it! I'm not a fan of Dubai, as impressive as parts of it are as per your list, but for me, the general impression is that it's a shallow, emotionless, ostentatious display of wealth. However both (all) Emirates are 1st world Muslims controlled and that makes a huge difference to how they're run IMHO . However this CFC themed development will bomb big style, but hopefully they invest heavily beyond shirt sponsor and it might be good to get some competent people involved at a decision making level .

Enzo Maresca - Chelsea "Head Coach" *Official NOW SACKED*
Living in Tenerife attending is pretty much impossible plus I've been on a world cruise for the last 4 months (humble brag) for the past 3 winters so don't see as much as I used too but watched the Everton match and I agree, they seem mainly clueless, if in doubt pass it back to the goalie. Even when the ball is by their penalty area it still ended up at our goalkeeper not theirs. Players have all but disappeared, lack of cohesion, poor decision making , poor ball control, there doesn't seem anyone willing to take the game by the scruff of the neck. We are far superior than Everton yet they could have easily equalized and we would have just stumbled to a draw at best .. We are back in the territory of 'we should win this' rather than 'we will win this'

It's because Leeds are the only major city in the UK with only one top tier team.. IIRC What doesn't help CFC is the match day total spend per game -travel, drink, food, etc-which by location compared all other teams is probably the *highest in the league with possibly Fulham is a close second. (*TBC) I was a totally a "Stamford Bridge or nothing" guy but I'm coming to realise that to grow support and lower average age both are a must IMHO, MDS is one of the major factors in attendance. In that respect Twickenham would be the ideal choice. However, a potential downside is that this could affect the corporate sector as they may feel reluctant to travel outside their metropolis bubble.. But I'm sure big brains can figure this one out. That plus "Chelsea's 2023/24 financial year, matchday revenue was £80.1 million, while commercial revenue (including sponsorship) was £225 million."" MDR is gross so remove expenses and that's probably halved. Commerical revenue is close to net so the gap is huge. Therefore to make MDR make sense it would be to reduce costs, increase capacity and increase the spend inside the stadium . Therefore relocation to 'Twickenham' would do all three : cheaper upkeep costs wages council tax etc etc lower expenses larger capacity increased MDR reduced travel expenses etc means more spare cash to spend inside the ground It wouldn't surprise me if the Americans have a trial run of a few seasons at a ground share to test the resolve of the CPO . I understand the egg chasers have already ruled out selling but I use that as an example.... All IMHO.
