Ajacied got a reaction from BlueLilly in Chelsea vs Ajax Amsterdam (UCL) Wednesday 22nd October 20:00 GMTWell, like most Ajacieden I’m expecting the worst tonight. We are just not a C.L. Level team at the moment, as we are still repairing the damage done during the disastrous Mislintat era. Our CEO says we should be in a position to strengthen the squad starting next summer, in the meantime we just have to suffer.
The situation is not helped by our coach Johnny Heitinga being a complete imbecile. He has about half of a decent football team available to him, but he insists on playing most of those players in the wrong position - and the entire team playing kamikaze tactics that several players are on record as saying they are not suited to playing. I sometimes wonder if the only reason he was recruited as coach is to make sure his son stays in the Ajax academy. Before the tournament started Klaasen said he didn’t think Ajax would secure a point in this year’s CL and I’m sure he’s right.
there are a couple of good kids to watch if they get to play. There’s a good young English centre back called Aaron Bouwman, Jorghi Mokio is a talent, but he should be playing in the midfield, not in defence. Sean Steur is the next Ajax superstar- but he’s unlikely to get much of a game.
5 - 0 is my prediction, anything less than 4 - 0 would be a minor victory for Ajax.

Ajacied got a reaction from The Rising Sun in Chelsea vs Ajax Amsterdam (UCL) Wednesday 22nd October 20:00 GMTThe likelyhood is that Heitinga will be sacked when we lose to FC Twente nest Sunday. I've just read that Ajax's shortlist of replacements is
Sarena Wiegman (!)
2. Winston Bogarde (!!)
Erik Ten Hag (!!!)
Bogarde is the bookmaker's favourite - I would prefer Wiegman.

Axman I'm not trying to cheer you up, I'm trying to cheer myself up by coming clean and getting my frustrations off my chest. We've had lot's of good times in the past, you just have to suck it up when things are like they are now.
I'm hoping Sean Steur gets a few minutes, five years from now he will be a global superstar, mind you by them he will be playing for Barcelona or Chelsea. There was a time when our academy graduates would leave at age 25 or 26, then it went down to about 22 or 23 - now it's 18 or 19! We just don't have the cash to compete with top 5 league salaries.
