To be honest I almost see De Bruyne, Oscar, and Hazard having the higher ceiling and Willian would be the sub in my opinion. Losing Mata would suck (if we are following the hypotheticals) but we still have a brilliant and world beating midfield. Still the bottom line is that we have to improve CF if anything.

For me its: 1. De Bruyne 2. Lukaku 3. Schurlle 4. van Ginkel But all we're pretty impressive. Van Ginkel has more growing to do but Schurlle looks at absolute threat to score, while De Bruyne as an excellent passing and shooting game that might make him one of the best top 3 in our attacking mids.

It would be interesting to see a 4-3-3. Mourinho certainly is not frightened of finding the perfect formation but I kind of doubt we'll see a switch over at this point.

I'd rather take 3 points we maybe shouldn't of gotten than lose points we should of won.

Exactly, I think it is really important to have squad depth like this. Something we experienced first-hand just a few short years ago with the troubles involved in carrying a short crew. Talent only gets ya so far when the legs are tired.

Still too early to tell if Villa are a real squad this year, or if the Hull thing was based on playing a much less calibre team. Still expect more from this Chelsea squad regardless of the weakness at CF
