  1. Money spent on a stadium does not count towards FFP, (if that matters much anymore after the Citeh ruling), it is just a dent in the owners pocket. It would actually be a wise time to invest, given all the opportunities for construction, loan rates, etc, as a result of COVID-19. Much as our transfer window after a ban has turned into a really good window for us, not building a new stadium early could turn into a really wise business opportunity.
  2. Some people sh*t on signing a lad named Cahill in January 2012 as they believed it wasn't a position of need and that he wasn't good enough anyway. The lad turned out to be quite a wise purchase at £7 probably one of the best deals we had. Nowadays £20 odd million on a giant goalkeeper could be a similar purchase. I trust Cech and it would be great for this monster to be coached by another giant. I am just hyped to have a different keeper than Arizzabalaga who has definitely turned into a giant bust. 50% save percentages are not going to cut it.
  3. A few years ago you'd have been crazy to say that. In this year's business, your dead on
  4. Chelsea conducted a feasibility study for a 60k study, as far as I know it is still ongoing. Or at least they have not released any info on it which would be strange as the CPO would likely be notified. That study is probably still ongoing. As far as FFP goes though, no money spent on the stadium would not count towards it.
  5. There's two unintended consequences for them. One they will find there might be a lot more away fans than they intend at games. Two this will still give them a lot more matchday revenue that could change the dynamics of the team for them. Two food for thought items. Still the track around there is going to ruin the atmosphere IMO. Could be really cavernous
  6. With the Anfield and White Hart expansions underway Chelsea really need to kick this into gear
  7. Do we know when the new Chelsea Stamford Bridge expansion study is due?
  8. I think we are going to see a hell lot more of those Cesc to Diego through passes
  9. We likely will have to play somewhere else while expanding, so we will probably have home matches somewhere else for awhile.
  10. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RMUEX9qK_rU Fabregas stole the headlines but Hazard now has a friend in the midfield. The dribbler versus the pass threader. Great tandem to have in the midfield and no pressure on either player then.
  11. I can honestly say I was pretty blah when he got announced, actually I was in the wtf category. That being said I'm forgiving his past allegiances as he is making me a fan! Here is a low quality video of all of Senor Cuatro's touches on Monday. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xEFPTv0hjw8

  13. Could be the key to unlocking at least a few of the weaker sides we were unable to this past year.
  14. If you read the full quote Hazard says it was a complicated game and a lesson for us [the team] next year. No story here, move along. Let's build for next year aight lads.
  15. Gary Cahill looks dashing in your photo

The Shed End Forum relies on revenue to pay for hosting and upgrades. While we try to keep adverts as unobtrusive as possible without pop ups, we need to run ad's to make sure we can stay online and continue to keep the forum up, as over the years costs have become very high.

Could you please allow adverts on this domain by switching it off. Some of the advert banners can actually be closed to avoid interferance of your experience on The Shed End.

Cheers now!
