Man City told to go whistle again..
Cheers mate. And you're right... it's very much down to Huges now. He will be under immense pressure to deliver this season. Still.... it's an ok place to be right now. Trust me... i'm a City fan lol.

Man City told to go whistle again..
Ah well... i'm glad it's finally sorted, and we can get on with our lives. Yes, i would've loved him at City, but what will be will be. I'm not one of those that is now predictably claiming that i didn't rate him after all. I just hope we've had other irons in the fire so to speak, as our defence certainly needs a look at before the season starts. I'll be glad when the season starts and the football does the talking.... not the tabloids.

Anelka article
He does glide doesn't he. The only other player i've seen do that is Thierry Henry. And that's a very good point you make about his "appearance" to be half arsed. A few City fans used to whinge that he wasn't putting in a real shift, when i always thought he was. He used to drop deep and defend when necessary too, but for some reason people seemed to ignore that. It was far easier, and lazier to stick with the media cliche of "le sulk". He was a Rolls Royce of a player for me.

Anelka article
I have always been a huge fan of Nic, and i was stunned when he joined us. He seemed genuinely happy at City too, which made a huge impression on me. One of the classiest finishers i've ever seen at City. I'd have him back tomorrow. Erm.... well maybe that's not such a good idea eh.

Hughes, son, you have a problem
Yes, Thaksin Shinawatra stayed on the board after the initial takeover.

Hughes, son, you have a problem
I've read this rumour before, and i hate it. We'd be daft to let a very impressive nipper like Nedum go. And to be honest with you i can't see it. Get one talent in, and let potentially a better player go the other way? I can't see it. He's still only 22, (although he seems to have been around for ages), and will get better and better. Of that i am quite confident.

Man City told to go whistle again..
To be fair, apart from Bluemoon on here, i've not heard one City fan say they don't want him. When i first heard the rumour, it just felt very silly and more to the point, very wrong. But as the rumours gathered a head of steam, i slowly but surely started to warm to the idea. I'd love to see someone like John Terry at City. I'd be mad not to.

Man City told to go whistle again..
Like i say, i rarely go on there these days. Just pop on from time to time for something specific normally.

Man City told to go whistle again..
In fairness, Bluemoon has a lot of sh*t on it, and that's why i rarely post on there. Don't get me wrong, there's some decent posters and threads on there.... it just takes too long to wade through the bile. It's by far the busiest City site, so i guess by the laws of average you'll get more crap. I normally use another couple of sites though. Please don't think all City sites are like that.

Hughes, son, you have a problem
It was this bit that i was disagreeing with really. "Total short man's syndrome. I think they could stay for a long while, but if they don't get results they might be leaving sooner rather than later with their tails tucked between their legs off for some easier exploits to capitalize on."

Hughes, son, you have a problem
I think you're way off the mark. I'm pretty sure he's worth over 500 billion. I know he made a quick 2 billion alone buying and selling some shares in Barclays in a very short space of time. Don't kid yourself, these guys have their heads screwed on. I also think you're very wrong on your perception of them.

Hughes, son, you have a problem
To be fair, i've not really heard that very often, but i'm sure they will do more and more. Of course i can't be sure, but the Arab owners seem to look at it as a long term thing. They love their sport, and i don't think they'll be upping sticks for a long while. They seem very very genuine.

No probs. Most of you seem decent enough. :) Btw.... hope you don't mind but i'm gonna pinch this smiley ;) for our City forum. I'm a scooter boy.
