Its generally accepted that when things are going well, sometimes the players dont even need a manager. BUT when things are,nt going well thats when the manager earns his salt. Inter and Blackburn were opportunities for us to see that. Because its to the bench that the players will always look for the bit of inspiration to pull the game around.
Sadly when we needed it in the two games mentioned there was nothing forthcoming from the bench.Carlo looked at a total loss. His substitutions have been bizzare to say the least. How many times did we see Jose changing things after 20 minutes when it was obvious things were,nt going to plan.He always had a Plan B. I dont believe that Carlo is the man.Like Big Phill I dont think he has comes to terms with the sheer intensity of this league where there is no let-up or time to pause for breath.
Of the people mentioned. To be honest I hadnt even considered Moyes who has done an incredible job with the resources at his pisposal. Hiddink back would be ideal. I really like the cut of Bilic though. This is a serious young manager. A real no nonsense approach, who, like Moyes would take no s**t from players.I think he has a little bit of that Jose brashness, which we have seriously been missing
Just not sure what sort of relationship a Russian owner and a Croat might have.
