When's the draw for the next round?

JT completely needlessly thumped a player in the back of the leg and reduced us to ten men away to the best team in the world, got himself suspended for the final and looked like he had sabotaged our CL hope. Rambo scored the goal of the season to save us in the same game. Ivanovic can be very mistake prone (see Swansea first leg). Lamps and Cole both often have games to forget, just as much as Ramires in my opinion. I don't want to have a go at any of these players. I just really don't get why Ramires is being blamed for our bad performances. I have no doubt in my mind we have much bigger problems. Our manager for a start, the worst player in our squad costing us more than twice as much as Rambo, players with experience and leadership not being offered new contracts for no clear reason. All this combined with the fact that its a young squad with many new faces is our problem. Our hardest working player is not the problem.

Ok if you all think Ramires has been that bad and inconsistent. Name us the players that have played well game in, game out for us? Even Mata, our best player, has been quite inconsistent under Rafa.

I agree we have more skilful players in our squad. But at centre mid? Mikel, for example, has been skating by playing at a much lower standard than Rambo for years and years now! I just think that if we didn't have Rambo in the squad we would have a severe lack of fight in the squad.

No I'm just saying that was a heroic moment. If he didn't score there, we probably would've been slaughtered by Barca. And that wasn't my only defence of him. Ramires has been good for us this season and last. This season alone, how many of our players would you say have been better than him? Our whole team has been pretty poor over the course of the season. Lamps, Mata, Hazard and Cole are the only ones I'd say have been better... And remember for most of this season we have had an utter clown as a manager.

Don't get it... For that goal vs Barca alone he is a legend to me. Turned the game around. But besides that, he is often the only player that is busting his arse for the team.

I think people are being very harsh on Rambo. He was pretty crap today, but he is still a great player for us.

Did you hear him throughout that game?! Was like listening to a Brentford fan commentate. I'm used to commentators being anti-Chelsea but an ex-player... The worst was the two pen shouts. Brentford's was a very soft pen, which I am 90% sure we would not have been given. Burley pretty much called it a stonewall decision. Then the Brentford handball in stoppage time, he actually said "His arm was slightly raised" but he didn't think it was a pen. His arm was pretty much at a 90° angle from his body! Burley = w**ker.

Craig Burley is such a dick. Did he leave us in a bad way or something? Seems ridiculously anti-Chelsea now.

Exactly. The original point was we should play the two together. I personally think Torres needs to go but we wont get rid of him by the end of the month. So for the remainder of the season why not play them together. What do we have to lose? Can we get much worse?

None of our other players looked like getting it...

Good work from Ba to set him up. I think we've gotta give the two of them a real chance to play together.
