Chelsea vs Fulham (PL) 10/11/2010 KO 19:45 GMT
yeah plz no ramires! Its painful to watch him try and then get easily brushed aside! Dont mind him or kalou coming on later in the game to stretch the opposition. I'd have mikel, essien and zhirkov (maybe josh) and then malouda, drogba, anelka (maybe kakuta)

Lets hope he makes the right decision then! Wont be surprised if its yet another agent who is behind this holding the club to ransom saga -_-

He hasnt signed a new deal and can apparently sign a sort of preagreement in jan and then leave for free for any european club next summer Speaking about the contract situation Carlo Aneclotti appeared a little miffed about the situation in his pre-match press conference, remarking, "I think that he has to stay here and sign a new contract." "But I`m not involved in this, and I`m not interested. He`s an important player for us, but nobody is indispensable."

At £18 mil, you would usually expect much better from a player but hey whats done is done, no point thinking we could've got van der waart etc so dont start flaming me for stating the obvious truth :) All i want to say is we should give our youngsters a try and by that I dont mean 10 mins here and there. No wonder players like borini and kakuta are looking for other pastures...

Any news on wether lamps or essien will return on wednesday? I do agree with hutch when he says we expected essien to be fit and last minute adjustments didnt work out too well. I honestly think starting ramires is asking for trouble; he needs time to adjust and bulk up or else it'll be a waste of £18 mil -_-

hutch do you still think 'nobody blamed howard'. This poor deluded guy is busy counting the number of stupid fouls instead of noticing how sh*t we were. I appreciate the fact that I am a new poster on here but I did read every post in the thread before posting so stop with the patronising mate Robbed of a point, you're havin a laugh!

I do honestly believe there is a slight degree of arrogance creeping into the players, they expect teams to roll over which unfortunately doesnt happen too much these days

mate cut the guy some slack. They played sh*t and deserve criticsm, its not the first time this season we've started the first half looking like the players have just got out of bed! Its as if we're saying cumon cumon break us down and score and surprise surprise the other team scores giving us a mountain to climb. You might get away with westbroms and wigans of this world but doing it at anfield is just a sign of arrogance imo. -_- It was a pathetic performance and those citing poor refereeing as an execuse are simply bad losers And as for the whole 'sweated blood' thing, they're being paid thousands per week to do it

I wouldnt call it a dive cuz there was definitely contact with cech . Seen them given so glad we didnt lose cech which would have led to a gk crisis and cost me dearly in fantasy football (cech is my captain this week :D )

hes going to turn 33 soon so I doubt we'll get good money when his contract comes to an end..

If Im being absolutely honest, I think we'd be better off selling him next summer, getting decent money around £20 mil etc and then buying aguero or caroll etc. You have to start thinking of life without him now. We cant always rely on him...

I thought ramires was awful today, might as well give josh a shot instead of him. Carlo made a bid mistake picking him for a tricky away trip to a place like anfield. He needs time to adjust and we cant afford him to cost us games like the ones against city and liverpool.

I would say the most urgent reinforcements should be in midfield and our forwards (inc a forward to replace drogba and a decent right winger)

Yeah same, we missed that strong leader in the middle of the park in the absence of bison and lamps. Needed someone like ballack to anchor the ship and steady us after going down esp in the absence of drogba.

Let me rephrase that, how many times do you remember us going down under ancelotti and then coming back (except for blackburn where we were extremely lucky to get three points)?

tbh I think the most alarming conclusion that can be drawn from this match is our total inability to come back after going a goal down. We dont seem to have that belief like under hiddink or jose. Aston Villa (should've lost the game had reocoker took his simple chance), mancity, blackburn (roberts with the easiest of chances) and now liverpool(!). What scares me most is carlo's repeated denial that our current squad simply isnt good enough and we dont need any new signings. Imagine playing with this midfield and attack after lampard, anelka and drogba retire...
