Preston away around 1981 the game where gary lee RIP was killed, we took their end and there was a bit of a crush as it went off with people falling all over the place, funniest moment for me was being led round the pitch to the away end and someone in front of me leaning through the escort and saying to nobby stiles their manager at the time , " whats it like to run at home ?" , quality!

have also briefly spoke to wise at ascot who was fairly aloof and disinterested, also when i was about 4 or five my mum took me to a sports shop owned by the cat somewhere in tooting bec or clapham i think, he was there and we got a discount on the old yellow away kit.

I also met teddy maybank and used to drink in the same pub when i moved to hove, nice bloke , but loved a drink and could get quite lairy !!

I work in the city and was attending an IPO presentation at which ossie was one of the frontmen , was stood having a chat with him when a " lifelong " chelsea fan came up and told us he was such a huge fan that whilst in france for the 97 cup final , he made the bar owner turn over the tv so he could watch the game, ossie just looked at me and said " come on john, lets go over here and have a drink " , one of the best moments of my life !!
