I agree that Ganso is a more attacking midfielder whereas Modric plays more defensive but i dont think this is a bad thing. Chelsea have built their success playing a DM for the supposed 40M the press are reporting we could buy Ganso & M'vila from Rennes who could play the old makalele role. I know Chelsea are looking to do something different under AVB but I still think we could play great football with this fprmation. Please do not pay Spuds any money to improve there team

Time to tell spurs to F*** off. I have been uneasy about this signing as I was with Torres. I dont think we should be lining their coffers for a good player but not a great one. Tell them 25M take it or leave it, and if they say no leave them with a really pissed off player who has a complete relationship breakdown with a chairman who if the press are right has broken a "gentlemens agreement. 30M for a player who scored 6 goals last season is well over the top. I would rather put a bid in for Ganso (read today Manure are sniffing around him) who although unproven will be in the long term a better player and will become world class unlike modric who at best is a good premiership player.

Glad this didn't happen. Ashley is better than Coentrao and Bertrand and Van arnholt are good backup. better to concentrate on problem positions ie winger/s & an attacking midfielder

It is frustrating that we are looking to pay this sort of money when we could have signed him for 12/15 million 3 years ago. Tottenham took a risk which paid off. I would like us to take a few more risks like this than end up paying 45 million for a player. We have a history of doing this also happened with Aguero who ended up joining Athletico. I am also worried about Modric goal ratio only scored 6 goals last season
